18/08/2008 The PyroGene® Recombinant Factor C Endotoxin Detection System represents another first from the endotoxin detection technology leader. By utilizing genetic engineering, Lonza scientists have produced a recombinant form of Factor C, the first component in the Limulus clotting cascade activated by endotoxin. Once again, Lonza leads the way with evolutionary technology that promises to reduce the dependence on Limulus based endotoxin assays.
